Recovering from my car crash.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Last year I had a terrible accident in my car, and the worst thing was, it wasn’t my fault! I was actually sitting at traffic lights at the time, when from out of nowhere, another car spun out of control and struck the side of my vehicle. The impact sent my car spinning and I hit the pavement next to me and then another car in front of me. I didn’t know too much about all of this at the time, and it was days later before it all came back to me.
By that time I was in hospital and stable, but I had bad neck injuries and a broken leg. Thankfully, several months on and I am close to being back to my old self, but I still feel pretty hard done by. Luckily for me, I managed to get some financial recompense for the whole affair. Once I got out of hospital I decided that I deserved something out of this, because it was in no way my fault. I contacted a solicitor about potential accident claims and they thought from my story that it should be able to make a pretty good claim.
The best thing about the whole process was that I was hardly involved. I didn’t want to be thinking about that crash every minute of the day – if anything I just wanted to forget about it. Luckily the legal company that I employed to look after my compensation claimwere just brilliant. They never bothered me except to get the necessary details, and then when it was all done and dusted I got a nice cheque in the post! I still would rather not have had the crash, but at least I got something for my troubles! At least if anything like this ever happens again, I will know that there is a professional company out there who can help me to get the compensation I deserve.
